| Faithful Hour. Undying. These two new keywords of Dark Ascension are interesting indeed. Faithful Hour is similar to good old Metalcraft as in you have something (in this case, 5 or less life) and you get something (added effects, +x/+x, etc). - It may seem bad, but the effects gain often are much better than the card's original effects.
Like Gather the Townsfolk. It normally puts in two 1/1 human tokens, but when Faithful Hour is active, you get FIVE instead, for the same price.
- Its requirements may seem harsh, being near death, but the increased effects may allow you to turn a game around or deal the finishing blow to your opponent in a neck and neck game (cause it doesn't care about your opponent's life, just yours. Theirs doesn't has to be higher or anything.)
Undying allows a creature that has died with undying to return to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter IF it did not have one when it went to the grave (any +1/+1 counter, doesn't have to come from the Undying effect. For some slightly older players, this may remind them of Persist except slightly better. - This allows creatures two shots at an opponent, the second time slightly stronger.
- This allows some creatures to get over what killed them if it was a tie, or if you suicide blocked, they can come back beefed a bit. You know, Proliferate is still around...
So that's a little bit about the new keywords. And my two cents. Pre-release is January 28 and January 29 in various card shops. So which do you think is the better of the two? Or which do you like? Or do you just hate them both?

| I really love the undying mechanic. Its like giving you two chump blocks at times :3
Faithful hour.......even though the effect may be good when you have that low of life......When are you at 5 or below and your opponent isn't winning? Truthfully I think is a very bad mechanic.....but thats my two cents.

| The BEST Faithful hour can do is to pull off a comeback if you need extra umpth to do it, or to close a close game.
Otherwise, undying just takes the cake. Hopefully, the undying guys won't cost more than normal for the effect... or have realllly low toughness...
